Terms of Use

VLOCKSTER connects independent films, filmmakers, audiences, and projects in production. Users can discover films, watch limited previews, save titles, follow filmmakers, and explore public production pages.

You agree to use the platform legally and ethically, respecting the rights of other users and creators.

You are responsible for the content you upload to the platform. Make sure you have all the necessary rights to the content you share.

You must not upload content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or that violates the intellectual property rights of third parties.

VLOCKSTER membership is currently free. We do not sell or rent individual films on the platform. Public previews may be watched without an account. Membership enables participation features such as saving films and following filmmakers; it does not transfer ownership of a film or guarantee access to a complete film.

Preview length, availability, territories, and titles may change as rights and release windows change. VLOCKSTER may update, suspend, or discontinue a preview or platform feature. We will not describe free membership as permanent access to any title.

Complete films may be provided separately through a private screening, a filmmaker invitation, or an access grant already recorded on an account. A project contribution does not itself grant screening access, purchase a film, or transfer ownership. Private permissions remain subject to the applicable rights, screening window, invitation terms, and these Terms of Use.

Financial commitments may be made only through an eligible campaign whose project page explicitly states that commitments are open.

All content on the platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of VLOCKSTER or its licensors.

Content uploaded by users remains theirs. By submitting content, a user confirms that they control the rights needed for the specific previews, screenings, artwork, and other uses they authorize on VLOCKSTER, and grants VLOCKSTER the limited license needed to provide those uses.
