QWhat is VLOCKSTER?
VLOCKSTER connects finished independent films, canonical filmmaker profiles, and the projects those filmmakers are making next. Projects may seek funding, but commitments appear only when a campaign is explicitly live.
QHow can I support a film project?
You can explore and follow a project at any stage. If its campaign is explicitly live, the project page will show available contribution terms; otherwise it remains view-only.
QCan I watch films without contributing?
Public trailers and showrooms can be explored without contributing. Full-film access depends on the screening permissions shown for that title. A future campaign commitment is a separate action.
QHow do I become a creator on VLOCKSTER?
Click the "Apply as Creator" button, submit your information, and our team will review it. Once approved, you can create projects, connect credits and media, publish showrooms, and prepare a campaign for review.
QWhat types of projects are accepted?
We welcome all types of independent film projects - documentaries, dramas, comedies, experimental films, and more. Projects must be original work and align with our community guidelines.
QHow does the crowdfunding work?
A filmmaker can prepare goals, deadlines, terms, and rewards, but VLOCKSTER accepts commitments only while that campaign is explicitly marked live. Closed or preparation-stage projects remain readable without a payment action.
QIs there a fee to use the platform?
Browsing public showrooms and applying for a creator account are free. Any screening access or campaign fee must be disclosed on that specific surface before you act.
QHow can I stay updated on projects I've supported?
You'll receive email updates from creators, and all updates appear on the project page. You can also follow creators and projects in your community feed.
